design challenges: Sometimes, you get a lucky break! Initially, Pioneer Realty/Emde & Associates expressed the desire to simply update their existing logo and site sign which included a cowboy on a bucking bronco.
However, in sketching and "playing" with type, a new approach evolved....
- first, the "one" in Pioneer popped out visually,
- second, modifying the "one" into a symbolic home with rooftop and front door worked as a unit without compromising the readability of the word Pioneer, and
- third, the words "real estate" fit tightly under the new home symbol, further strengthening the idea of home/one real estate.
Pioneer Realty's reaction: "Fantastic!"
The visibility and drive-by readability of Pioneer's signs is greatly enhanced with the new design.
