The OSU Alumni Association is open to all graduates, students, fans and friends of Oklahoma State University. Membership in the association provides many benefits including subscription to both the association's magazine, OrangeConnection, as well as the OSU Magazine, merchant discounts, early notification of events associated with OSU Athletics, and chapter membership all over the U.S.
design challenges: The "Make the Connection" campaign began in mid-2000 with this membership solicitation mailing to a list of OSU graduates — then, not currently association members. The response to the mailing was significant and, in addition to other changes in marketing, the "connection" theme has evolved to become the primary messaging device — along with "younger, more vibrant" graphics — being used to promote the association.
