BERRY CREEK HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

design challenges: Halley's Design, in conjunction with Innovative Communications, developed three billboards to announce the availability of lots in the Berry Creek Housing Development. Stillwater is "nested" between Oklahoma City and Tulsa and accessed by two major arteries. The large billboaard was placed on State Hwy. 51 that connects to I-35 to the west (OKC) and the mid-sized board was placed on the connecting arm of the Cimarron Turnpike from Tulsa. In January 2005, two years after lot sales began, more than 25 homesites have sold and Phase 2 is beginning development.

The design approach for the billboards incorporated an image of a young family since the price range of lots and home construction would appeal to this demographic. The site board sits at the intersection of the two major streets, Sangre Road and 19th, that border the property. And, the plat sign (PDF Link) is positioned right inside the gateway to the development.
